1. Who we are
Auto Insurance ("we", "us") operates this website as an advertising and referral service. We are not an insurance company, agency or broker. We connect drivers who request contact with licensed insurance agents, carriers and their marketing partners.
2. Information we collect
| Category | Examples | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, IP address | To route your request and let partners contact you |
| Vehicle and driver details | Vehicle year, make, model, driver age, current coverage status, current insurer | To match you with partners whose appetite fits your profile |
| Consent records | The exact consent text shown, timestamp, originating page URL, IP address, user agent | To evidence TCPA consent, as required by law |
| Usage data | Pages viewed, referring URL, device and browser type | Site performance, fraud prevention and analytics |
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and this site is not directed to children.
3. How we use your information
- To match your request with licensed agents and carriers in your state.
- To verify and record your consent to be contacted.
- To respond to messages you send us through the contact form.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or automated submissions.
- To operate, measure and improve the website.
4. How we share your information
When you submit a request, we share the information you provided with a limited number of participating licensed agents, carriers and their marketing partners. Those companies become independent controllers of that information and handle it under their own privacy policies. We also use service providers for hosting, analytics and communications, under contracts that restrict what they may do with the data.
We do not sell your information to data brokers or list resellers. Under some state privacy laws, sharing your information with marketing partners in exchange for compensation may be defined as a "sale" or as "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising". Section 7 explains how to opt out.
5. Calls, texts and your consent
Checking the consent box on our form is your express written consent for participating companies to contact you at the phone number provided, including through an automatic telephone dialing system, an artificial or prerecorded voice, and SMS, even if the number is on a state or federal Do Not Call registry. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or tell any agent to remove you.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics and advertising measurement. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing where state law requires it. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states — you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and request a copy.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Submit a request through the Do Not Sell or Share page or email privacy@yourdomain.com. We verify requests before acting on them and respond within the timeframe your state requires.
8. Data retention and security
We keep request and consent records for as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal recordkeeping obligations, then delete or de-identify them. Data is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the "last updated" date. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
